Open Access

Our Aim

The aim of Open Access is to make scientific information freely accessible to all people worldwide: free of charge and as free as possible of technical and legal barriers. The TUHH has supported this goal since 2012 with its Open Access Policy and is a signatory of the "Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Scientific Knowledge" of 2003.

Our Policy

„The TUHH encourages her members to publish in Open Access publications. These publications are therefore freely accessible, unless there are explicit agreements with publishers..“Open Access Policy der TUHH

Open Access Consulting

The library will advise you on all open access issues.
This includes information on the initial publication of a scientific contribution in an open access publication or alternatively for the provision of published publisher publications in repositories, as well as financing options and licensing questions.

Open Access Publishing Fond

Publications in quality-tested open access journals can be financed by the library’s publication fund. The publication fees may not exceed a maximum of EUR 2,000 per article.

tub.dok – Open Access Repository

Tub.dok is the open access repository of TUHH. Here scientific results from the TUHH can be published, but also the author’s version of an already published article. Most scientific publishers allow time-delayed publication of post or preprints on a repository.
